Some students create blogs about their lives. Others about their rantings and frustrations with any given person or subject at any given moment. Comic Corrective is about stepping down from your soap box and creating a discussion about making change rather than complaining about the changes that are not magically appearing before your eyes. It’s about leaving the safety of your seat on the pedestal and coming to the podium to make real change. It’s about delving into the true reasons and rationalities behind the borders we build under the excuse of “understanding the world,” discussing academic subjects and their effects on not so academic life, and making a space for the works that would otherwise never get beyond the professor’s desk.
On a more personal note, though, this blog is my companion through undergraduate studies — space to get ideas out of my head and into the world, to hear feedback, and to keep me honestly working on a regular basis.
So unlike other blogs where comments can become a nuisance, here, they are critical and highly appreciated. As you read, please think, digest, reflect, and join the conversation.
